Pubic Hair

With the onset of puberty, hairs start appearing on the body including the pubic region. Initially, these are sparse, long, slightly pigmented hair – in males at the base of the penis, while in females bilaterally along the medial border of the labia majora. Later, pigmentation of hair increases and these begin to curl and change in texture spread and over pubic symphysis. In adults, distribution of hair spread to the medial part of the thighs as well.
